Steve scoops packed round robin

Start of the Season Sunday saw a bumper doubleheader on the Bounds Green courts, with the One Point Slam preceded by a busy round robin social tournament.

Aussie Steve came through a crowded field to edge out Angela

The day started with the traditional season opening round robin, with 20 players taking part on a beautiful Spring morning. After some great tennis, played in a good spirit, Australian Steve won by a narrow margin from Angela, one of our newest members. Michael was third.  

Thanks to everyone who turned out and especially to Amelia for doing all the catering.

The next round robin is the Vic Lincoln Memorial, which will be on Sunday 8 June, the day of the French Open men's final.

Let's hope the glorious weather is the start of things to come!
