Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis Club actually started out as a tennis and croquet club back in the late 1880’s. As you can see from the photo, tennis players attire was completely different then and times have certainly changed. Not least, because we now have artificial rather than true grass as per the picture.

Bounds Green can boast the latest in artificial grass surface (laid in September 2003) and 3 courts with floodlights that ensures members can play all the year round.

Our Club has a number of teams playing competitive tennis in the Middlesex LTA Eastern Division:

Summer

2 Men’s teams (Divisions – One, 5)
1 Ladies team (Division 3)
1 Mixed Team
1 Juniors

Winter

1 Men’s
1 Ladies
1 Mixed
1 Veterans
1 Junior

Each team has it’s own team practice session and there are also 2 club sessions for the less competitive (see table at right for playing times)
